Why is there no water in my boiler?
The most common cause of no hot water from your gas boiler is the pilot light going out. The pilot light is used to ignite the gas which heats the water in the boiler. we have a ravenheat boiler and it’s 3 years old. To get hot water through to the kitchen tap i have to run the hot water tap in the bathroom or turn the heating on and that also gets hot water to the kitchen. Not good with todays outside temperature :). turn the bathroom tap off and the kitchen tap water then goes cold again.

Tried thumping the top, side and front to no avail and eventually turned everything off drained it down and stripped the air pressure relief valve down (located top right behind the plenum chamber cover) to clean it. Put it all back together]
