Why is the starter not working on my Prado?
For those that didn’t read my “Original” thread about the Prado not starting now and then it appeared at first to be the inhibitor switch as when I moved the transmission selector back and forth it started but then it was ok for a week then had the problem again for two weeks then ok for a week.

YOU SHOULD NOT NORMALLY NEED TO DO THIS, IT IS A LAST RESORT TO GET YOUR VEHICLE TO A SERVICEABLE LOCATION. Some of the Itsubishit Pajero had auto free wheeling hubs that could disengage to stop trans windup. The problem was if you rolled back more than the rotation of a wheel it automatically disengaged.
Can a Prado run on a hard surface?
As long as you don’t accelerate hard and/or corner sharply on a hard surface your running gear will be more than capable of driving on a hard surface for short distances. You will more than likely scrub your tyres out quicker than you will break running gear, if you are being sensible. -Make sure you are on a fairly level ground.

Why does my Toyota Prado not go back to normal idle?
I have used the idle up switch on my dash but now my car wont go back to normal idle and the switch stays on I removed the switch entirely and still the idle remains high anybody got any idea what’s going on My CRUISER! Front ball joints keep snapping.

Why is my Prado Land Cruiser not starting?
I have checked the EFI relay, checked all fuses that i can think of and that i have found in manuals and tech pages…. i do not want to borrow a mates ecu as if there is a short and i pop his i will be bleek!
Where is the fire alarm on a Prado?
I assume it is the original unit which is tucked up behind the stereo mounted to the steel tube that runs there IIRC there is just 1 25ish pin plug to remove. There is a good chance that doing this will sound your alarm but if you can ignore it you will be able to fire it up.
