Why is my right brake light not working?
If one or more of your brake lights isn’t working properly, it could mean one of three things: The brake light system fuse is blown, the brake light bulbs are burned out or the brake light wiring switch is broken. All of these issues are easy to troubleshoot.
How do you test a brake light relay?
Place the sensor on just one of the two wires and hold the brake pedal down as you do so. Then test the other wire. If power is connected and the switch is working properly, the test bulbs will illuminate. If it doesn’t light up, the brake light switch is faulty and will need to be replaced.

What to do if your right hand signal is not working?
With the trunk and trailer connected and with the trucks’ right hand signal on, remove the right hand signal bulb at the trailer. Find a good ground and again use the test light probe and carefully check for voltage inside the socket. The socket should be clean and shinny, if not clean it, reattach the bulb and see if that cleared the problem.
Why is my right side light not working?
Sometimes, trailer lights ground through the mounting studs. Make sure the connection point is free of rust and corrosion as that could cause a bad ground. The driver side light should have a yellow and brown wire connected. The yellow wire goes in the right hole if looking at the back of the driver side light.
