Why is my hot water brown when I first turn it on?
Brown water is caused by sediment, usually rust or manganese. Many older plumbing pipes are made of iron, which over time naturally rusts. Brown water could also be caused by a rusty pipe within your plumbing system or sediment buildup in your water heater.
Is it normal to have hot water in the morning?
The water heats overnight so it’s hot in the morning. By evening (in winter) it has cooled down. Sounds perfectly normal to me. We have a boost button on the meter so we can get hot water anytime if we really need it. hot in the morning, and cold at night even we don’t use it.
