Why is my cold water coming out hot?

Still nothing now, although hot tap is working normally as are hot and cold taps in bathroom. Any ideas? The kitchen sink tap will be from incoming water main but bathroom probably supplied from tank in loft.

Have a look on Utube or Videojug for “changing a tap washer” which includes taking it apart. Use a UK vid. For example. The knob on yours will pull off upwards now you have taken the screw out.

It might be that the circlip has come out of the groove in the spindle, or the left-handed thread that moves the washer up and down has come unscrewed.

Not open for further replies. So, as the subject says, I have no water coming from my cold water mixer tap (bath). Cold water in the basin works fine, flush on the WC works fine, hot water on both bath and basin work fine – Simply the cold water tap does nothing when I turn it on.
