Labeled each appropriately and now Lana can set up pool mode or spa mode whenever she wants. You do want to turn off the drain for the spa if you want the water to spill over to the pool. The only time I use the hot tub drain is exclusively when using the hot tub in hot tub mode.

Why is my spa draining down when the pool turns off?
If your spa drains down after the pool turns off chances are it is a check valve failure. This could mean that the check valve is bad or debris is stuck inside of it. The check valve is designed to keep the water from dropping down to the pool water level in an elevated spa (which is how most pools with spas are designed).
