Why does my pool filter spits out dirt?
It could be something as simple as the filter needing to be backwashed. When the filter is totally clogged, it can “push” through dirt it would otherwise capture.
Where does the dirt go when vacuuming a pool?
Dirt and debris will be transferred through the vacuum plate and into the pump. It will then move through the sand filter. Depending on the chosen settings, the filter should capture the excess particles. Make sure to backwash your sand filter after you’ve finished vacuuming the pool.
Why do I need to vacuum the bottom of my Pool?
Some pool particulate matter can settle at a pool’s bottom, where it’ll need to be filter vacuumed. Unfortunately, a pool filter that’s been backwashed (reversed) prior to vacuuming a pool often puts dirt back into the pool.
Why is the bottom of my above ground pool Dirty?
Last year our above ground pool began getting dirty on the bottom. I vacuum the pool everyday, backwashed, and rinsed the filter then set the valve to filter. The next day the dirt was back.
Why is there dirt on bottom of my Intex pool?
The filter that came with your Intex pool isn’t the walmart brand. So unless you’ve changed the filter out for the walmart ones (says distributed by walmart on the package) you’re running a dryer sheet filter. IMO there is NO GOOD solution with only one Intex pump, even with the dotty walmart filter media. It simply isn’t up to the job.
Why does my pool filter keep getting clogged with dirt?
If you have to stop half way through and top the pool up then so be it. When vacuuming on the filter setting you may notice a significant loss of suction. If this happens then this is probably because the filter has become clogged with the dirt. In this case you will need to backwash the filter to clear it and regain the suction.
