Why does my hot water run out upstairs?
Hot water upstairs is also fine. The problem is with the cold water upstairs. If I turn the tap on it runs at a low pressure for about 4 seconds and then just trickles to a stop. The toilet refills incredibly slowly as well. The cold water tank is in the loft, and is filled to the top with water, so no problems there. Not sure what else to do.
Why is there no pressure in my hot water tap?
All other taps are fine – hot and cold in kitchen, fine – hot and cold on bath, fine, cold water on bathroom basin, fine. But the hot water tap runs at a trickle to the point that it eventually runs out and and stops completely, no water at all.
Is there hot and cold water in the upstairs bathroom?
Hi, I drained the house of water, then drained hot water tank and fitted a new immersion heater in the tank bottom. After turning all the taps back on, I have hot and cold downstairs and in the power shower upstairs. However, no cold water in the bathroom upstairs.. No toilet sink or bath. Everywhere else is fine.
Why is there air coming out of my hot water tank?
As you open the drain tap, cold water will continue to enter the tank — remember, the feed is still open. This will force the air plus any sediment out of the tank, so you’ll not only get rid of the air but also any build-ups. If you do want to check your tank for sediment, place the hose into a bucket (outside) and fill it halfway.

What to do when water is not coming out of hot water faucet?
Another way to fix the issue is to put a hosepipe on the cold water tap and connect it to the hot water tap. Then, turn on the hot water one first all the way. The pressure from the cold tap should force the airlock out. If this doesn’t fix the issue, you could need to drain the entire system down.
