Why did my Jandy JXI 400 not start up?
My brand new Jandy Jxi 400 wouldn’t start up the very first time we tried to use it. 1st Jandy says it’s because we don’t have the proper gas feed – 30’ @ 1 1/4” was plenty, but we upgraded to 1 1/2” after waiting 2 weeks for SoCal Gas and my plumber to be available to meet on the same day.
Is there a warranty on a Jandy pool heater?
Warranty is only 1 year, pool season is short, roll the dice. So now we have to pay our electrician again to come fix our brand new heater. Shame on me for allowing the pool guy to sell this to us, I should have looked it up prior, there are bad reviews on multiple websites stating same issue, and more.
Can a Jandy hot tub heater be replaced?
I replace my Jandy LT400 heater with the JXI400N. Installation was not difficult for a DIYer. I primarily use the heater to heat up my hot tub not the pool, this heater is a lot smaller than the LT400 which I was concerned about.
Is it too late to pick up a Jandy valve?
5th Jandy techs arrive at almost 4pm with only 2 parts – neither which turned out to be the problem. 6th Jandy tech looks at his watch and says that it’s too late to go pick up a gas valve, ( as it’s one of the few main components of a gas fired heater, why bother bringing one with you??) and tells me that they will have to come back tomorrow…
