Where to put brackets on a retractable awning?
Make sure you are taking the measurements assuming the torsion bar is facing the house, the arms are underneath the awning and the front bar of the awning is facing away from the house. Once you figure out where you can put brackets on the wall -match them up with where you can put them on the awning.
Is it OK to leave an awning open all year round?
The awning fabric is waterproof and can be left open during light rainy conditions. You can leave the awning fixed to the wall all year round and if you have a standard or half cassette awning, for added protection you may wish to purchase one of our storage bags ( click here) The exceptions to this are some of the awnings in our bespoke range.
Can a Samson awning be fixed to a building?
Samson Awnings have a massive range of standard brackets but can also design and manufacture any brackets required to enable a safe and usable awning system. In some circumstances it may not be possible to either fix to the building structure at all or there may not be sufficient height anywhere.

Solution: The awning brackets have not been tightened completely. Be sure the square torsion bar is completely seated in the back of the mounting bracket and tighten the mounting bolt until the locking lip on the inside of the bracket is drawn down over the torsion bar. Issue: The fabric sags and is not tight.

What do you need to know about ARB awnings?
(Length being the distance from the Vehicle out). The ARB Touring Awning comes with pegs and guy ropes for securing legs, stainless steel mounting nuts and bolts and comprehensive instructions. ARB does not include brackets with the awnings because every fitment may require a different style of bracket.
