The Lippert Electric slide comes with a manual over ride system. Locate the crank extension with pin outside of the chassis main rail as, Fig. 2, page 7, shows underneath the unit on the end of the motor (If your crank extension is under the inside of the frame, please refer to page 8).

Why does my slide not retract after new motor?
After the new motor was installed, the slide still would not retract. The “square rods” connected to the motor were detached to assure the new motor was functioning. We found that power to the motor existed only when the “out” part of the slide’s in/out button was pushed. There was no power to the motor when the “in” side of the button was pushed.

What kind of motor does a slideout use?
His slideout operated with an electric motor driving 2 parallel rack and pinion sets from a single shaft. I don’t know a lot of the details, but it turned out that at the end of the stroke, the slide out dropped so that one of the rack and pinion sets changed center distance enough that the gear teeth disengaged.
