Where is the 5Amp fuse on the Norcold 1210t?
Just before taking it out for the 4th, we powered on the unit the night before using shore power. The following morning we find the refrigerator without power. Mains and breakers were fine. There happens to be another 5amp fuse on the control board at the rear access panel.

Why does my Norcold refrigerator keep blowing fuse?
The good news is that Norcold is standing behind their refrigerator. As it appears, these units have some cooling fan issues. They are going to replace the entire fridge with a brand new one and use my old one to try and figure out why this is a recurring issue.

The AC plug that you see in the back is only powering your AC Heater/s that will cool the refrigerator when running it on AC or Auto Mode. The 12V DC powers the rear power board, the front control board, and the interior light.

What causes a 5 amp fuse to blow?
The 5-amp fuse that blows is the automotive type, which is the DC fuse. I did find some other references to this being caused by fan problems. If the fan locks up, it will cause excessive current which blows the fuse. I disconnected the red wire going to the fans, and the unit has been operational for about 15 hours.

The inbound DC connections are labeled on the board and usually located at the bottom right hand side of the board. If there is no power at the board, look to the right of the power board. If you have a 1200 or 1210 you should have a high temperature safety switch (a small black board).

How to troubleshoot your AC / DC Norcold refrigerator?
Make sure the power switch/thermostat is not in the OFF position. Make sure that the refrigerator is correctly installed and that the vents are not blocked. Make sure that the power source to the refrigerator is serviceable. Make sure that the fuse or circuit breaker is intact (See “Over current protection system” section).
