Why does my heater think there is a fault?

FYI, the merchant quicly agreed to take the heating unit back for a refund, so thumbs up to them. The return was not necessary, though, because the problem was not the heating unit, it was the heater circuit board. The new board installed quickly and easily, and the heating unit now works fine. If you buy one of these, buy with confidence.
When did my hot spring vanguard unit fail?
Received the heater on October 10th. The unit failed on December 7th. In the process of a return/exchange. Company agreed to take the item for a refund. However, after much reading and research, it appears that the heater circuit board on the ~2005 model Hot Spring Vanguard had problems with the relays.
