When do you get DEF system fault message?
After driving the truck for about 5 days, i got the dreaded “def system fault, in 50 miles your speed will be limited to 50mph”. This message appeared about 10 minutes after the chech engine light came on. The message went off on my way back to the dealer, even though the engine light stayed on.
Why does Def reset not work on Ford PowerStroke?
Unfortunately sometimes this is needed for the system to see the refill. Otherwise you can chance it and maybe it will see the refill on its own after a few key on and off cycles. Might be dealership time…. Not sure if this is your issue…but I’ve run mine low on a trip, to the point that I get the 50mph limit warnings.

Why do I need to refille my Def system?
