What should the salt level be on AquaLogic?

Is the salt level on the Hayward Aqua plus wrong?
I have a hayward aqua plus controller which is not showing the proper salt levels; however, when I bring a water sample in the pool store – my salt level is correct. The controller is about 2000 PPM off so it is never producing chlorine. I have tried a new salt cell but the same result.
When does Aqua logic P4 show low salt?
My experience, 10 years with an Aqua Logic P4, and currently on my 3rd cell, is that I get low salt when the salt is not low for some time before the cell completely dies. So, yeah, probably new cell time for you. You must log in or register to reply here.
Are there any amps above zero on AquaLogic?
Im guessing it is a bad cell but would like your feedback. Definitely not a K1 issue. You never see amps above zero when K1 is out. Those results are confusing. The numbers are varying all over the place, which is not what you normally see for a worn out cell.

Can you get a low reading on the salt level in your pool?
Your cell may have failed. As the Hayward / Goldline cells fail they will give you a false low reading of the salt level in your pool. NEVER ADD SALT BASED ON THE READING OF YOUR SALT GENERATOR! Always take you water to a professional swimming pool store and have it tested.
