What kind of water pump does Tiffin use?
The Tiffin RV network has recently been a hot bed of discussion regarding the Tiffin installed Shurflo 2.8 water pump. Tiffin installs this pump in most if not all of its coaches. It is usually wired to multiple pump switches through out the inside and outside of the coach. On my 2007 Phaeton, Tiffin installed 4 switches and pump ON indicators.
How to troubleshoot a tiffin RV water pump?
Take a piece of wire and connect one end to a good ground on the RV frame. TAP (do not hold) the other end of the wire to the switch (SW) post on the controller. If the water pump turns either ON or OFF then somewhere in the switches or the switch wiring there is a constant ground or an intermittent ground being applied.
