Is the AO Smith pool pump the same?
Although this motor matches up to my existing pump, it isn’t AO Smith. At this point my pool was already looking bad from lack of filtration, so I installed it, got pump in at 8:30 pm, I let it run through the night, checked things this am at 6:30 am and the motor feels hotter than I think it should. Hoping it will last as long as the AO Smith.
Is the A.O.Smith b2853 still working?
Still works great! Worked well for three years but just got noisy. This pump is easy to install but after running for ~10 hours per day for nearly three years it has developed a loud ticking noise. I don’t know if that service life is deemed short or not.
