Why does my Jandy pool not fire up?
The Jandy rep came out and we tried to wiggle the wires but could not get the heater to fire up. He checked the gas pressure and noticed that there was a spike in pressure and then it would come down to 9.7. Then the heater fired up . After 3 tries the heater would not fire up.

Try cleaning it up and re installing it to see if that helps. Customer: Flame sensor was dirty, with a bad crimp on it. Fixed it.

The ignition control is the covered plastic box with terminals each side? Flame sensor, and igniter are connected to the ignition control. Also check that you have a good ground to chassis for the transformer. Looks like the yellow lead from the trans former which is also connected to the ignition control.

How to check IGN steps on Jandy JXI pool?
Carefully check to be sure no wires came loose and reconnect if they did. Reset breaker and allow the RS 12 to power up. Start the heater at it’s control panel. The ignition sequence begins and when fan starts watch the sight glass on the igniter until it turns red indicating that the start sequence is ready to light the heater.
