The chrome handle appears to be a bit loose but is no different from the levers replaced so it makes no difference to me.

Why did my side mount Eljer toilet trip lever break?
The old one broke because the metal glove at the attachment point eventually tore up after so many flushes. Since this one is identical, the same will happen here too given enough time. One would think that there has to be a sturdier design. But in the end you need what fits.
Is there a side mount Eljer flush handle?
This Eljer side mount flush handle is a perfect fit replacement on my Elger Emblem toilet. The handle is metal and the rod is solid brass. The mounting body is some sort of nylon plastic. The only small complaint I have is that where the handle is mounted to the body is kind of sloppy.
