How to tell if the heater relay is bad in a spa?
Place a voltmeter lead on the ground screw. Test the voltage at each control-circuit pin. Both pins should have the same voltage reading and this reading should equal the relay’s stated control-voltage rating. If one pin has voltage but the other does not, then replace the relay.

When to replace the pressure switch on a hot tub?
Generally, if the pressure switch cannot be adjusted, it may need to be replaced – unless the problem is with the circuit board. The spa tech will start by using an ohmmeter (with the entire spa powered off) and will remove the 1 of the pressure switch wires. Then measure across the 2 terminals on the pressure switch.
Do you need to adjust the air switch on a spa?
Spa air switches come factory calibrated, and there is usually no need for adjustment. However, during troubleshooting an air switch, you may turn the dial in one direction or the other, but track the number of revolutions, so you can return to the starting point if adjustments make no difference.
