What is a rollout switch on a Raypak pool heater?
Hi, the rollout switch connects inside the cabinet right behind where the gas pipe comes into the gas valve. If your heater has too much water flow or not enough gas pressure it can cause soot to build up in the heat exchanger which will cause the flame to run out of oxygen and start to roll out.

What does an error code on a Raypak heater mean?
No one likes to get an error code on any piece of technology, especially on a Raypak heater. It means something is wrong and needs to be addressed soon. The panic really doesn’t set in until you realize error code BD1 means absolutely nothing to you. Error codes are both curses and blessings.
