What is a rollout switch on a pool heater?
Hi, the rollout switch connects inside the cabinet right behind where the gas pipe comes into the gas valve. If your heater has too much water flow or not enough gas pressure it can cause soot to build up in the heat exchanger which will cause the flame to run out of oxygen and start to roll out.
What is SW open?
“Pres sw open” means there is insufficient air flow.
Why is the rollout switch on my Raypak pool not working?
We bought a new Raypak heater this year and have had nothing but trouble with the rollout switch blowing. The pool guy installed it then we hired a plumber to put in the gas line. So first he put a gas line from the heater to the house connecting it to the main gas line ($600).
What causes roll out fuse on Raypak 206A?
Majority of roll out fuse/link opens are from a blocked burner (spider webs). Gas from the jet hits the web and backs up. Cleaning the burners with a stripped wire (solid not stranded) should get the gas flowing in the right direction THEN replace the roll out sensor.
