What does trailer module fault mean on Ford F-150?
My 2017 Ford F-150 keeps reading” trailer module fault” “Turn signal faults”….. and lights don’t work…. but there is power all way back to lights from truck until I connect them then nothing works….. so I plug same trailer into Chevy and everything works fine. no my trailer does not have LED lights.
Is the Ford F550 6.7 a 7.3 truck?
All I want when I go there is parts, not a bunch of BS from two people that probably couldn’t tell a 6.0 from a 7.3 if they were looking at them side by side. :liar: I love my truck but the way Ford handles fixing them is terrible.
Are there any problems with the Ford F550 Trans?
Odd. Haven’t heard anything bad about the trans really. Just the tuning issue that the update fixed. The 450s and 550s have been reported to have bad turbo lag, and not sure what the fix was. I didnt hear anything bad about them either.
What’s the problem with my 2011 Ford F550?
I have 2 2011 model service trucks, one is a 550 the other a 350. 550 got the Trans update and keeps shiftig into neutral between 1-2 and 3-4. After update didn’t work the dealer dropped the pan and replaced the syncros. Now it occasionally shifts so hard you think someone hit you.

What causes ” trailer disconnected ” message on Ford truck?
Last May, when the truck was pretty new, we were driving on I80 near Laramie, WY and an error message came up on the info display “Trailer Wiring Fault”. We were NOT nor had we ever, up to that point, towed a trailer!
What to do if your F-150 trailer wont turn?
You can use 16 Gauge Wire # 16-1-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05744-5 to replace any wiring that needs to be replaced. I also recommend checking the wiring on your trailer, even though it works on a different truck. Make sure the main connector grounds are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.

If the WIRING FAULT ON TRAILER message is only displayed when the trailer is connected the fault is with the trailer wiring. Every 4 seconds (when not braking) the TBC module sends a voltage pulse to pin 3 of the 7-pin trailer tow connector to determine whether or not a trailer is connected.
