What does it mean when pool heater says SW open?
The heater will only operate for a short time before it cuts off and displays the message “Water Sw Open.” Even if the water flow in the pool intake and return appear normal, it still may be possible the flow could be restricted enough to not allow the pressure switch to close and therefore stop the heater from firing.

Why does my Raypak heater not light the pilot?
I turn it on and hear the ignition trying to light the pilot light but the pilot does not light. Clogged orifice? If so, can these be unclogged with a lighter or do they need to be disassembled?

What should I do if I find a fault in my Raypak heater?
Power found at either PV or MV at the incorrect time. 1. Turn power OFF and disconnect Ignition Wire and Gas Valve wires from board. 2. Power ON and watch for spark at module. 3. If no spark, turn power OFF, and replace board. 4. If spark is observed, turn off power and reconnect wires. The unit should fire.
When to replace jumper thermostat on Raypak boiler?
Jumper thermostat, replace with new if heater fires. If power to toggle switch, but not through switch, replace. If power to relay, but not operating, replace. Thermostat in “ON” position causes relay and pump to operate, but heater does not fire.
