What does E05 mean on pentair pool heater?
Ignition/ Flame Failure
E05- Ignition/ Flame Failure The ‘E05’ error code indicates that the ignition has failed. In many cases, the heater may fire up and heat for a few minutes, but shorten out. Typically, this is caused by a bad igniter, but not always.
Where is the flue sensor?
exhaust elbow
A stack flue sensor, located on the exhaust elbow of a pool heater, prevents the flue gas output from exceeding 500°F.
Why is my Pentair pool heater showing E05?
I was called out to look at a Pentair MasterTemp 400 pool heater in Newport Beach today. After running for about 15 minutes, the display showed E05. Diagnostics registered stack flu sensor error.
What causes a Pentair mastertemp 400 error code E05?
I see more E05 errors that are due to things like a sooted exchanger (fuel delivery, venting), scaled up exchanger (water side), or a low water flow. I see those problems a lot more than a sensor that has gone bad. I could even buy that continued high temps could eventually cause a SFS to fail.
What does E05 mean on a Pentair minimax NT?
I have a Pentair Minimax Nt and the E05 error is igniter/flame/pilot failure. I have the same problem with mine right now. Not sure if you all have gotten help yet, but the mastertemp E05 error code is related to the stack flue sensor and the NT is, like posted, the flame sensor code.
Why do I get an E05 error on my Pool?
