What causes a Zodiac saltwater chlorinator to stop working?
Over long periods of use the salt cell inside the chlorinator builds up a layer of gunk and chlorine residue that causes the chlorinator to stop generating chlorine effectively, leading to numerous problems. Fixing a Zodiac saltwater chlorinator involves removing the gunk blocking the salt cell and checking the O-ring of the cell for damage.
Why is my salt cell saying no flow?
The system is saying NO FLOW and Chlorinator is off despite being set at 95% and super chlorinate activated – It is as if my system is not recognizing the new cell was installed. The software version is 2.6 so from what I read it sounded like I did not need to reconfigure anything.

Got Astral E25 salt chlorinator installed 4 months ago. Working well. Few days ago, noted sign “no flow” on the screen. Had pool water checked recently, slightly low on the salt content so added the usual amount. Calcium level was also low so added.
