What causes a car battery to not start?
It could be you battery cables, it’s not always obvious when they are bad. Corrosion can develop inside of the insulation and cause too much resistance for proper current.

It could be a corroded or dirty or loose mount or it could be the internal wiring on one of the cables is corroded and damaged so it cannot transmit power even though the outer covering still looks okay.
