Also if you keep your RV plugged in during storage keeping the batteries off will prevent your house batteries from being overcharged by your RV’s converter/charger.

The disconnect should be turned off when you store your camper so your batteries discharge more slowly. Mind you, they’ll still discharge spontaneously over the course of several weeks, but with the switch off it’ll take longer.

Can a battery be disconnected from a coach?

A second possibility is that the house batteries are dead. Yes, you shut off the batteries with the disconnect switch but there are a number of other loads that are not disconnected by the battery shut off switch in most coaches.
