Is there a leak in the sunroof on the discovery?
Using a watering can i poured the water over the sunroof 5 times, no leak. Today when i got in the discovery there was a swimming pool on the back seat again .

Took the sunroof apart, cleaned all the surfaces and used the best part on a tube matic on each, the sunroof undercarrage and the roof finnisher, replaced the seal . left for a few days and then put the glass back in , closed and left again for a few days. Why is my Land Rover’s sunroof still leaking?
Check the screws that hold the upper and lower halves of the sunroof together. If there is water in the lower tray, it can leak under the heads of those screws, plus condensate in the roof cavity can drip down. No doubt you still have a faulty sunroof seal, fix and you will be dry. Overdrive!
What kind of primer to use on sunroofs?
The sunroofs have a rounded edge, so I used a food tin to draw round. I cut the sheet with a pair of sheers to suit the curve. 2 sunroof blanks, ready for a coat of primer (both sides). Here you can see I have sprayed them in red oxide primer and now they’re ready for a top coat of Hammerite grey.

Where do the drain tubes go on a Land Rover Discovery?
On the Land Rover Discovery (2 x sunroofs), the rear sun roof drain tubes exit near the rear lights. On the front sunroof, they disappear down the ‘A’ posts by the windscreen.
