Is the Delta rp29405 conversion kit compatible?
The photos show the parts included with the RP29405 1500-1700 series conversion kit. If your shower trim looks similar to what’s show in the photos, you most likely have a 1700 series shower trim. However, this conversion kit is also compatible with older 1700 series valve trims. Helpful?
Can a Delta 1500 series be converted to a 17 series?
The 1500 series can only be converted if the screws on the original escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o’clock position (not 5 and 7). Unfortunately the Delta Conversion Kit is not available in Stainless Steel, however, by ordering the RP32104 cartridge, you can then use any current Stainless Steel 17 series trim kit.

The hot/cold cap pops off and there is a Philips head screw, but that doesn’t relate to the handle assembly. There doesn’t seem to be a set screw on the side of the assembly or anything like that. Well I discovered that the model i had was a Delta 1500 series Monitor faucet. Through internet searches I found a Delta conversion kit.
