One gripe is that it does not come with a bottom trim piece, which is referenced in the manual, but never called out as a part number making it very hard to BUY IT…… its a piece of sheet metal, include the dang thing….. Refrigerator fit very good into the space from where old refrigerator was and more space inside.
Is the Norcold Sundancer 280da refrigerator still made?
Suck it up, and pay the price. Marine application. Needed a replacement for original fridge on my 2006 Sundancer 280DA,since Norcold no longer made that model, I cold them to get the replacement model number. This fit the hole but would not slide back as far as original. Had to make some minor modifications to secure unit.
Is the thermostat in the back of the Norcold?
Like the blue LED inside light, don’t like that the thermostat is inside all the way in the back. Installed it at the end of the season and she cooled well then, can’t speak to the cooling when the cabin is hot. Also took my old wood grain panel and replaced the stock black, simple to do.

Can a Norcold refrigerator be used in an RV?
Most RV’s have gas absorption refrigerators and these can be more troublesome since there are more components that affect the cooling. The first thing to know is that the cooling units on every Norcold gas absorption refrigerator are gravity operated and MUST be level in order to run properly.
Is there a way to reset the Norcold control?
PLEASE NOTE, the Norcold control can be reset if and only if the boiler has cooled. Restated, the Norcold temperature sensor is not hot. It is possible to disconnect the temperature sensor plug found between the +12VIN and +12VOUT wires and put a jumper between these wires in order to fool the control.
