Is 120 degrees to hot for a hot tub?
One was the “use temperature” and the other was “the maximum temperature” to prevent scalding. It’s generally agreed that 120 degrees Fahrenheit is the maximum safe hot water temperature that should be delivered from a fixture.
What should the temperature be in a hot tub?
The maximum temperature of any given hot tub is almost always 104 degrees. On the other hand, most hot tubs have a minimum temperature of about 85 or 90 degrees. There are exceptions, though. Some hot tubs, such as those which use AnyTemp® spa technology, can reach temperatures as low as 62 degrees.
Is it normal for a hot tub to overheat?
That is not the case. It’s actually just the natural process of how the Arctic Spa’s designed to utilize that excess heat. So, if you’re running into this, where your spa is actually hotter than where you want it to be, keep in mind also that the spa is really designed to run at 100 degree or above.
Why does the inside of my hot tub get warm?
The inside of a spa cabinet can get warm very quickly, making it easy for water temps to fluctuate or overheat. Friction of the water circulating through the pump and plumbing lines also raises the temperature somewhat.
How old do you have to be to go in a hot tub?
We recommend first allowing your child to enter the hot tub when they are 10 years old. At this age, they should be able to touch the bottom of the spa with their head out of water.

Why does my hot tub get too hot then cold?
You don’t want it to get too hot, then cold, then get too hot again! Temperature fluctuations of more than a couple degrees are not normal, and often indicate a problem with water flow or a faulty switch. For example, let’s say that you set the heating level to 103º, and the temperature falls below 100º before the heater kicks on.
