How old is the aquapure plc1400 saltwater cell?
I replaced it with the PLC1400 3-port cell, which has lasted only two years. Just last week, the middle pin on the cell began burning…by the time I was able to turn the power off, the cord plug had basically melted. Bought this cell just last week, and was looking forward to a very simple replacement.

The Original PLC 1400 Saltwater Cell lasted 11 years. The performance was good up until the unit failed. The new Jandy Zodiac AquaPure is JUNK!!!! The electrode plates were destroyed inside the unit and this was moving water. No internal gears or rubbing parts. They didn’t last 3 years and of course the plates were beyond the 2 year warranty.

Where to leave sensor interface module on Jandy aquapure?
Older systems (including AKC13) back boards, may require Program B to be selected. The sensor is now able to slip through the union nut for easier installation and service. The Sensor Interface Module is weatherproof and should be left outside (Fig 3a) of the power center enclosure (Fig 3b).
