How much fuel pressure does an Onan generator need?
Onan has always used a low pressure pump their small units. 1.5-4PSI is the normal range. I think 5PSI will also work. But over that and it will blow the gas past the needle and seat.
What is priming a generator?
Priming the generator is to fill the carburetor bowl and to build up fuel pressure to keep the fuel bowl full. Onan recommends to prime for 30 seconds if you ran out of fuel.

Lone Wolf and Dub11 like this. If the IPL is correct on which carb it has then the float bowl retaining / main jet (item 40) is likely clogged, Also the idle mixture restricter jet (item 20) also tends to clog. Some techs think it a mixture adjustment but it is not.
How long does it take for a Bud Light Generator to start?
