Is there any insulation in a fifth wheel?
We honestly don’t do much about insulation. The windows are all single pane and leak heat/cool like crazy. We just try to stay in mild climates where the temperature is perfect. In the US, that means going south in the winter and north (or up in elevation) in the summer.
Where can I get new fifth wheel legs?
Researching online I found some replacements by a company called Stromberg Carlson. They had a blueprint with all the key measurements and they matched mine exactly. We stopped in at a nice RV park called Maverick Ranch in Lajitas, Texas, leaving the truck hooked up and I ordered up some new legs from Etrailer.com.
What do I need to remodel my fifth wheel?
We love them because they are SUPER comfortable but very lightweight and fit perfectly in the back of the fifth-wheel. There are different color options (both cushion color and chair color) and the cushions are machine washable. The foot rests are optional but fit nicely behind the chair when you aren’t using them, so they are out of the way.

How do you fix a damaged sub floor in an RV?
Cut the sub-floor out carefully – Now that you’ve got the saw’s depth set, cut out the square piece following the line you drew. Clear out the old sub-floor – If you’re lucky, this will pop up easily. Otherwise, you’ll need to take some time with your hammer and pry up+clear out any chunks of damaged sub-floor that remain.
