A couple of things….To me, it’s not so much about gallonage as it surface area/square footage and in IMO a rectangular 16 ‘x 32′ is already a smallish pool. Your builder staked out a free-form, which means its most likely 16′ at its widest and 32’ at its longest, which is even smaller.
