Redring say it is electrical spikes and is not a fault and to turn off the main switch when not in use but surely this should not happen. Got this as a replacement for older (c1996) 8.5kw Redring unit. Managed to fit it in the same place, no change to plumbing, just a couple of new screw holes to drill through the tiles.
