Apply lubricant on the gears, tracks, and rails of your slide-outs. Try and retract and fully extend your slide-out a number of times. At this point, the squeaking sounds should have disappeared.
Are there any issues with an electric slide out?
With electric powered units you can have issues with the motor, the gears, a lack of electricity or they blow a circuit or two. Among other things. The hydraulic system is not perfect either. You can develop an unseen leak in the hydraulic lines that drains your hydraulic fluid. Plus, the pump or motor may malfunction.
Is it safe to put 1500 pounds on a slide out?
It stands to reason that an extra 1200-1500 pounds on the slide out will not affect the RV at all. Just try to keep the weight off when you are opening and closing the slide out to be on the safe side. For the most part, the answer to that question is, yes they are reliable.
Why does my slide out move when parked?
You might move the slide out and just a little and measure all four corner distances from the outside wall and the slide wall that seals to the main wall. Any difference could indicate an out of adjustment issue.
Use a wire brush to remove any debris, dirt, paint chippings or rust from your slide-out tracks. Clean out all the dirt and road debris from the tracks.
