How do you test a Goldline salt Cell?
Submerge the salt cell in a bucket of pool water, but do not get the wiring connections wet. Turn on the pump and activate the salt system. Put the output on the salt system at 100% for this test. Put the output back to the original setting when you are done.
What to do if your salt level is above 3200ppm?
If salt level is above the range, partially drain the pool and/or spa and refill with fresh water to achieve a salt level of 3200ppm, refer to page 9, Step D. If the salt level is not high, verify the correct cell is being used then reset (follow steps for How to Reset Average Salt Levels above)

The largest problems are caused from the cells not being cleaned. Remove the cell and soak for a couple minutes in a 20-30% acid water solution but no longer or you can damage the cell. You should see bubbles as soon as you put the cell in the acid water. The life of a cell is a bit confusing. They should last MUCH longer than a year.
What does average salt reading on Goldline mean?
When attempting to recalibrate the average salt reading (default reading {2700-3400ppm}) the pump needs to be running. If the pump is not running, the system will show “NO FLOWâ€, if flashing this is just a warm up process and the unit is waiting for the water to begin moving through the cell to carry the chlorine out to the pool.
How to check your Goldline SWG panel salt level?
Visually inspect the cell by looking through it. It should look very clean with no calcium deposits on it. If it is dirty you will have to acid wash it. If not we ahve to look elsewhere. The next step you will have to take if you find yourself with a clean cell is finding your real salt level.
