- Adjust the pH levels of your spa’s water to between 7.4 and 7.6.
- Remove the hot tub cover so your spa can breathe while being shocked.
- Turn off the air to the jets but leave the circulation pump running so the water is moving but is not too agitated.

Place a garden hose in the filter canister and fill your spa with regular tap water about six inches from the top. If the water level is too low or too high, your spa will not operate properly. Always fill the spa through the filter canister!
How long does it take for a hot tub to fill up?
How fast your hot tub fills up depends on the size of your Master Spa and the water pressure at your house. If you do walk away from the hot tub while it’s filling it’s a good idea to set a timer as you may forget about it otherwise.
