What does override temperature mean?

Why is cool on flashing on my thermostat?
If the “cool on” or the snowflake icon is flashing, the thermostat is in delay mode, which can take up to 5 minutes. If the thermostat indicates a call for cool, verify that the furnace door is securely closed and that the power switch on the furnace is set to On.
Can you trick your thermostat?
No, you can’t trick a thermostat – however, you can tamper with a thermostat. Thermostats measure temperature and the results are predictable and are as designed.
Is there a way to override the 104 max temp?
You can still overide the 104 max temp on some hot tubs built after 2006, mine is a 2010 model and I have it set for 106 degrees, was easy to do, kinda just stumbled on it. My 2005 Caldera has two OT (Over Temperature) settings above 104 F. So I can just got to OT2 and I have 106F. but that is too hot for me. I keep it set at 103F.
What to do when temperature override is active?
Since there is the possibility that the operator would need to transfer the flow controller to manual when the temperature override is active, the logic includes provisions to initialize the flow controller so that its output matches the output of the low signal selector (same as the temperature controller output in this instance).
Is there a limit to the number of override controllers?
In practice, the first-order filter time constant should be set to match the shortest controller integral action time setting. Note that in this example, there is only one override controller, but there is no limit to the number of override controllers in a strategy provided that the tracking modes are coordinated.
When to use the override on a thermostat?
Say you have a warmer temperature during the day and a cooler temperature that kicks in an hour before bedtime. If the daytime temperature seems too cold one day, you can use the arrows to adjust the temperature.
