How do you manually open Schwintek slide out?

What causes a schwintek slide to not move?
If the motors are out of sync, the slide may not move at all. Othertimes just one side may move, which will cause a bind in the gears and not allow it to retract or extend all of the way. Other issues with the slide could be a faulty part, such as a burned-out motor or faulty wiring.

How does a schwintek controller keep in sync?
The Schwintek system has two motors that counts revolutions. This is what keeps the system in sync, or parallel. When we run the system in and out three times, it allows that controller to find the zero point.

Is there a warranty on a schwintek slide?
If no joy give Grand Design a call. Perhaps there is a mobile RV tech in your area that can get to the bottom of this under warranty. They have always said they will work with any company that will work with them on warranty issues (except CW apparently). You are not stuck waiting on your dealer.
