How do you align a Lippert RV slide out?

- Locate cylinder coming through the frame.
- Run room partially out.
- Hold jam nut (Fig. 4A) in place with wrench.
- Adjust Nylock nut (Fig. 4C) towards the bracket if the room does not seal. Adjust the Nylock nut (Fig. 4C) away from the bracket if the room is too tight and damages the fascia.
Why does my camper slide out is crooked?
There are several sources for this problem. One of them may be that the electrical gears are not aligned properly. Or there may be an electrical connection problem that doesn’t perform the moving out task . If your RV is equipped with a hydraulic system, it may be that the pressure in the lines is gone.
Why does my slide not retract after new motor?
After the new motor was installed, the slide still would not retract. The “square rods” connected to the motor were detached to assure the new motor was functioning. We found that power to the motor existed only when the “out” part of the slide’s in/out button was pushed. There was no power to the motor when the “in” side of the button was pushed.
Is there an electrical problem with the slide out?
Finding an apparent electrical button, the control panel was removed and the wires for the stuck slide were placed on another slide “in/out” button. Again, there was no power to the stuck slide when the “In” was pushed. The two young mobile repair techs were now perplexed and did not have the skill to trouble-shoot the electrical issue.
Is the Lippert slide out controller a problem?
A final update for my slide-out problem. The good folks at RV Masters in Houston diagnosed the problem to be a “bad” Lippert Slide-Out Controller. The “in/out” switch and relay all work fine and were not the problem. A new controller was installed and the slide out is working great again!
What happens if you push the slide out button?
If you push your slide-out button and nothing happens, double check to make sure that the path of the slide out is unobstructed. A stray item wedged in your slide out can be an easy fix, so go check before tearing your motorhome apart looking for the slide motor.
