We were surprised to find that the vinyl flooring from the front of our rig continued under the carpet through the bedroom, for about two-thirds of the way. This vinyl connected to a plywood floor ‘underlayment’ (or floor) in the back of the room.
Where is the carpet in a Class C RV?
Our carpeted bedroom is in the very back of our motorhome, and this is the worst place to add weight to most Class C RVs. As it sits behind the rear wheels, the extra weight goes onto the rear axle while lifting weight off the front (braking & steering) axle – not good!
Is it normal for RV to have yellow carpet?

Are there any problems with our carriage 5th Wheel?
We have a 2004 Carriage 5th Wheel with 3 slides, 40′. We are having some issues with our unit. Recently, we have had problems with putting out the bedroom slide. Now we cannot get the bed slide and our entertainment slide to go in and out using the power buttons. The slides are fully extended, but will not move in either direction.

Where are the slide outs on a 5th Wheel?
Look under your Carriage in front and/or behind the wheel areas and you should see some “zippered pouches” looking like they lead up into the floor area. Inside those zippered areas are the mechanics of your slide outs. From there you can manually crank in and out the slide outs after releasing the break catch on the motor.
