Can a generator inverter work on shore power?
Your inverter/charger should not react any different on shore power than on generator power. So, if it works on generator, but not on shore power, first thing to do is confirm that you do have shore power. Have you verified you do have shore power– proper polarity and 108- 128 VAC? Can a dirty battery impede a power converter?
Dirty batteries can seriously impede the charging circuit and can and will draw voltage directly off the battery. Good luck. We have a 2009 Forest River Salem Travel Trailer that is parked year round at a resort wtih 30 amp service.
